QUINDIO, COLOMBIA

Day 1: Arrival in Colombia! Transport will pick up the group from the PEI airport (Pereira) and head to our lodge in beautiful Filandia to have our welcome lunch. We will spend the remainder of the day in beautiful Filandia before our group dinner tonight.

Day 2: After breakfast, we have an early morning departure for our trip to Cocora Valley where we will go horseback riding through the scenic palms! Enjoy exploring the fun and charming town of Salento for the afternoon before we return to the lodge before dinner.

Day 3: Admire the surroundings on an early morning birding and nature walk with a local biologist. Return to the lodge for breakfast as we depart for our in-depth cacao tour this afternoon. Learn about the history of cacao in Latin America and the secrets of fine chocolate making from Casa Riviera Cacao. We return to our lodge for dinner tonight.

Day 4: After breakfast, we depart for Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs! Take the day to relax in these thermal pools. What makes this hot spring truly special is the stunning waterfall that cascades down the forested mountain face behind the springs. Support locals by stopping for local cuisine on the way back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 5: We have an early morning today as we depart to the Parque de los Nevados National Park. We will stop for breakfast on the road and witness the landscape change drastically to high elevation desert at the base of snow-capped volcanoes. After our tour, we will stop and explore some local towns on the journey back to the lodge. Expect to return right before dinner.

Day 6: Leisure morning with the option of going to the town of Filandia. In the afternoon, we will go on an in-depth coffee tour and learn about the culture behind coffee growing here in the Quindio, i't’s no wonder this region of Colombia produces some of the best coffee in the world!

Day 7: Enjoy your last Colombian breakfast before we leave the town with the memories of this incredible adventure. Transport will take us back to PEI airport for our departing flights home.

COST DOES NOT INCLUDE: International flights to and from Pereira (PEI) airport, alcoholic beverages, travel insurance, and extra spending money for snacks/meals not specified in itinerary.

Secure your space with a $500 deposit and request a payment plan for the remaining balance. All balances must be paid in full 90 days BEFORE tour start date. Credit cards are accepted for an additional 5% processing fee. All payments made are non-refundable.
