Itinerary

  • Welcome to El Salvador, a country rich in warmth, flavor, and tradition. After settling into your hotel in San Salvador, we gather for our first welcome dinner.

  • After breakfast, we head toward the highlands for a morning adventure in Parque Nacional Los Volcanes, home to the famous Santa Ana Volcano (Ilamatepec). Enjoy a scenic hike to the crater rim (optional) where turquoise waters fill the volcanic lagoon below—one of the most iconic views in all of El Salvador.

After descending, we continue along the colorful Ruta de las Flores, visiting artisan towns such as Nahuizalco, Juayúa, and Ataco. Explore murals, markets, and coffee shops before checking into our boutique hotel for the evening. Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • This morning, dive into El Salvador’s deep-rooted cacao culture. Walk through cacao groves, learn about ancient Pipil cultivation, and participate in a hands-on workshop crafting traditional drinks and artisanal chocolate.

Later we transfer to the colonial town of Suchitoto. Wander the cobblestone streets lined with galleries and local craft shops. Meals Included: breakfast lunch, and dinner.

  • Begin your morning in a community kitchen where a local cook welcomes you to learn the art of pupusa-making. Enjoy your freshly made lunch together before exploring Suchitoto a bit more.

In the afternoon we return to San Salvador, with optional visits to artisan markets or scenic viewpoints. Group dinner and rest before we continue our adventure tomorrow. Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Travel to the Pacific coastline for a meaningful conservation experience. Meet local biologists and community partners working to protect sea turtles. Depending on the season, participate in ethical activities such as nest monitoring, hatchery visits, or a supervised baby turtle release.

Afterward, we continue to the surf village of El Tunco. We spend our last few nights in El Salvador enjoying the beautiful coastline. Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Spend the day soaking in the relaxed beach culture of El Tunco on your own. Try an optional surf lesson, explore tide pools at low tide, browse artisan stalls, or simply curl up with a book by the water. We meet for our final group dinner later tonight. Meals Included: breakfast and dinner.

  • After our final breakfast, we transfer back to the airport. You leave El Salvador with new friendships, new flavors, and stories rooted in the people and landscapes that make this nation unforgettable. Meals Included: breakfast.
